Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Ends With Suspect, Dog in Custody in West Covina

WEST COVINA, Calif., Oct. 15 (KNN) — A stolen vehicle suspect was taken into custody by authorities along with a dog when the pursuit ended in the city of West Covina Monday evening.

Fullerton police officers were in pursuit of a stolen SUV northbound on the 605 Freeway at the 60 Freeway when it entered the San Gabriel Valley area at approximately 8:50 p.m.

California Highway Patrol officers from the Baldwin Park station caught up to the vehicle when it stopped in a residential neighborhood in the 1400 block of East McWood Street in West Covina.

Officers took a female into custody. After the incident, CHP was in the process of transporting the dog to an animal shelter.
