DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Oct. 21 (KNN) — A hit-and-run traffic collision left a toddler and two adults injured in a Downtown Los Angeles intersection late Sunday night.
The Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles Police Department Central Division units responded to a reported two-vehicle traffic collision at the intersection of 6th and San Pedro streets around 10:18 p.m.
When first responders arrived at the scene, they located a black Tesla sedan that had crashed into a construction area and a gray Volkswagen sedan with moderate damage in the middle of the intersection.
An adult, reportedly a grandmother, and her approximately 2-year-old granddaughter, were in the Volkswagen.
Both were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to Margaret Stewart, a spokesperson for the LAFD. One additional adult patient was assessed by LAFD paramedics at the scene but declined transport.
The driver of the Tesla fled the scene. There are no further details at this time.
