SIMI VALLEY, Calif., Oct. 27 (KNN) — A single-vehicle crash on the 118 Freeway led to a fatal crash involving a motorcycle that left two people dead early Sunday morning.
The Ventura County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol officers from the Moorpark Area office responded to reports of a black sedan that had collided with the center divider of the westbound 118 Freeway just east of Rocky Peak Road.
When first responders arrived on the scene, they located a deceased female down in lanes as well as a deceased male.
Per initial reports, the female exited the black sedan after the crash and was struck by the male riding a motorcycle.
The motorcycle was located approximately 1/4 mile west of the black sedan.
CHP officers remained at the scene for several hours, conducting their investigation.
There are no further details at this time. KNN has reached out to the CHP for more information.
