Homicide Investigation Continues Into Double Fatal Shooting in Northeast Los Angeles

Mount Washington, Los Angeles, Nov. 12 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Police Department Central Bureau Homicide detectives continue to investigate a shooting that left two dead in the historic Los Angeles neighborhood of Mount Washington, located in the San Rafael Hills of Northeast Los Angeles.

The deadly shooting occurred Thursday, Nov. 7, at 12:15 a.m. at an overlook in the 1400 block of Cliff Drive, where responding LAPD officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the scene. However, no one was transported. An LAPD sergeant at the scene stated off-camera that they were investigating a homicide.

The LAPD did not release the gender or age of the victims.

Officer David Cuellar, a spokesperson for the LAPD, told KNN that the only information regarding a suspect was a black sedan that was at the scene at the time of the shooting.

Cuellar added that it is currently unknown if the shooting is gang-related.
