SHAFTER, Calif., Nov. 18 (KNN) — A man was trapped after two vehicles collided in the Kern County city of Shafter early Monday morning.
The Kern County Fire Department responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision at approximately 5:50 a.m. in the area of Highway 43 and Merced Avenue.
Upon arrival, fire department personnel found one male with moderate injuries who was transported by Hall Ambulance to a local hospital and another male trapped inside a Chevrolet pickup truck.
Crews extricated the patient from the roof of the truck. He was subsequently transported with major injuries to a local hospital via ambulance.
Shafter police officers and the California Highway Patrol assisted with the scene and investigation.
