West Covina, Los Angeles County, CA: One person was pronounced deceased in a vehicle that had erupted into flames after a collision with another vehicle on the 10 Freeway early Wednesday morning in the city of West Covina.

California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene of the reported accident around 12:03 a.m. Apr. 27, and located a two-vehicle traffic collision with one vehicle fully involved in flames and smoke on the 10 Freeway.
Covina Fire Department arrived at the scene and had quickly extinguished the flames when a victim was discovered inside the vehicle. The victim was pronounce deceased at the scene.
The patient in the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
It is not known what caused the collision. No other details are available at this time.
