Flames Destroy Denny’s Restaurant in Commerce

COMMERCE, Calif., Dec. 9 ( (KNN) — A fire broke out early Monday morning at a Denny’s restaurant located in the 7200 block of East Gage Avenue in Commerce, prompting a large response from the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD).

Firefighters arrived to find heavy flames engulfing the single-story commercial building. Crews quickly adopted a defensive posture to contain the blaze, battling it for nearly an hour.

Two individuals inside the restaurant at the time of the fire safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigators have been called to the scene to determine what sparked the blaze.

The incident remains under investigation.
