CHP Vehicle Pursuit Ends in 101 Freeway Off-Ramp Crash in Camarillo

CAMARILLO, Calif., Dec. 9 (KNN) — California Highway Patrol Ventura Area units chased a vehicle until the pursuit ended in a crash at the Lewis Road off-ramp from the southbound 101 Freeway in Camarillo.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:18 p.m. Sunday when the vehicle’s driver lost control and crashed, leaving debris scattered in the roadway near a wrecked car.

At least one person was injured and transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition.

What prompted the CHP pursuit is unclear at this time. There are no further details.
