MISSION HILLS, LOS ANGELES, Dec. 10 (KNN) — Firefighters located one deceased pet after crews doused a house fire in Mission Hills late Monday night.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 14900 block of West Blackhawk Street. Upon arrival, they found fire coming from the side of the home. Firefighters quickly doused the flames, and residents were safely removed.
Per the homeowner, multiple cats were inside, and their whereabouts were unknown. Firefighters brought one deceased cat onto the porch, and it appeared to be covered with another deceased cat nearby. The homeowner did not suffer any injuries.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
