MALIBU, Calif., Dec. 10 (KNN) — The Franklin Fire in Malibu continues to burn at this hour as many residents have evacuated or are under an evacuation warning.
KNN video shows the smoldering aftermath of destroyed structures in the 3300 block of Serra Road early Tuesday morning.
The fire, reported near Malibu Canyon Road and Francisco Ranch Road, is being fueled by strong winds that are complicating containment efforts.
Los Angeles County Fire Department crews, along with multiple agencies and support from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, are on the scene working to protect structures and prevent the fire from spreading further.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Residents in the area are advised to stay alert and follow evacuation orders if issued.
