Woman Shot in Downtown Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 31 (KNN) — Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division officers were advised of an assault with a deadly weapon shooting at 7th and Maple in downtown Los Angeles at approximately 9:20 p.m. Monday.

Officers arrived and located one victim with a gunshot wound. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the woman to an area hospital in an unknown condition.

The shooting occurred a short time later and not far from the shooting at a Target store that left two wounded.

It is unclear at this time if the two incidents are related.
