Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Collision in South Los Angeles

FLORENCE, LOS ANGELES, Jan. 5 (KNN) — A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run traffic collision in the Florence neighborhood of South Los Angeles early Sunday morning.

Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Division officers and Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision in the 100 block of East Manchester Boulevard around 1 a.m.

Upon arrival, a victim was found down on the roadway and pronounced deceased. The vehicle involved in the fatal collision had fled the scene.
