CARSON, Calif., Mar. 2 (KNN) — A sedan slammed into a Metro Bus around 10:43 p.m. Friday in Carson, resulting in minor injuries.

Emergency responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol were dispatched to the intersection of 228th Street and Vermont Avenue following a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a Metro bus.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found that the crash resulted in only minor injuries. No individuals were believed to have been transported to the hospital.
Preliminary investigations revealed that an Infiniti sedan crossed the northbound lanes of Vermont, went through the center median, and collided with the bus traveling south. The driver of the sedan was evaluated for potential DUI at the scene but appeared not to be impaired.
The California Highway Patrol South Los Angeles Area office is handling the ongoing investigation into the incident.
