Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Traffic Collision in South Los Angeles

SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Mar. 23 (KNN) — A fatal hit-and-run traffic collision occurred in the Vermont Vista neighborhood of South Los Angeles early Saturday morning at the intersection of West 109th Street and South Vermont Avenue.

Emergency responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene at approximately 12:12 a.m. and pronounced the victim deceased.

The vehicle involved in the collision struck the pedestrian and fled the scene. No description of the car is currently available.

The California Highway Patrol West Los Angeles Area office is handling the investigation into the incident.
