BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Apr. 8 (KNN) — Bakersfield police and fire departments responded to a report of a three-vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of Harris and Stine Roads late Sunday evening.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered multiple patients involved in the crash, with one individual trapped inside a vehicle.
Firefighters utilized the Jaws of Life to extricate the trapped person while providing care to the other patients at the scene. During this time, police officers administered a DUI test to another driver involved in the crash.
Reports indicate that injuries from the traffic collision range from moderate to severe. Hall Ambulance paramedics transported several patients to a nearby hospital.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and it remains unclear if alcohol was a contributing factor.
