DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, June 25 (KNN) – A driver allegedly used their vehicle to strike a pedestrian, leaving him in critical condition near a downtown Los Angeles intersection early Wednesday morning.

Los Angeles fire and police departments responded to reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision in a parking lot near Hill and 3rd Street just before 2:20 a.m.
Firefighters arrived to find a man on the ground, unconscious and not breathing. They immediately began performing CPR.
Upon arrival, police learned that a white Chevrolet Camaro had intentionally struck the man and also collided with another vehicle before fleeing the scene. A white SUV was located in the parking lot near the victim, displaying damage to the driver’s side door.
Paramedics transported the injured man to a nearby hospital while continuing CPR. The Los Angeles Police Department established a crime scene in the parking lot and requested the Central Traffic Division to assist with the investigation.
