Single-Vehicle Crash Closes Freeway Exit Ramp in Burbank

BURBANK, Calif., Feb. 8, 2026 (KNN) – A single-vehicle crash occurred on the southbound 5 Freeway at the Hollywood Way exit ramp shortly after 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a male driver lost control of his Honda sedan and collided with a Caltrans construction sign. He is reported to be in critical condition.

Authorities closed the Hollywood Way exit ramp while officers took measurements and investigated the incident.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and the ramp closure was expected to last several hours.
