Sheriff’s Department Investigates Body Found in Canyon Country

Canyon Country, Los Angeles County, CA: The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Santa Clarita office is investigating the death of a man located at the bottom of a cliff on Sunday, May 8, in the Canyon Country neighborhood of the city of Santa Clarita.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a person not breathing. An adult male was located at the bottom of a cliffside and was pronounced deceased at 3:05 p.m., according to the LASD Santa Clarita office. The incident is deemed a homicide and is currently under investigation.

Key News Network video footage was shot from the location on the 27900 block of Rigel Drive at 4:15 p.m. The cliff from where the team and rescue are seen on video is about 200 feet high.
