Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Pomona

Pomona, Los Angeles County, CA: Just after 9:00 p.m. Friday, May 20, Pomona Police Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a reported traffic collision involving a pedestrian at Garey Avenue and Artesia Street in the city of Pomona.

PPD officers arrived on scene and located a severely injured adult male pedestrian down in lanes of traffic, according to police.

LACoFD with Care Ambulance transported the pedestrian to Pomona Valley Hospital.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.

A witness reported the pedestrian walked into lanes of traffic for unknown reasons and was struck by a passing vehicle, said PPD in a notification regarding the incident.
