Firefighters Work to Contain Elks Lodge Vegetation Fire in San Bernardino

San Bernardino, CA: The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a vegetation fire around 4:06 p.m. Thursday, June 9, outside of Elks Lodge and Perris Hill Park in the city of San Bernardino.

SBCoFD reported they have contained 50% of the fire and will be continuing to work on mop-up and containment lines throughout the next couple of hours. Roughly 35 personnel and six engines worked to extinguish the five-acre vegetation fire and SBCoFD is expected to reach 100% containment within the next two hours.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
