Fountain Plaza Building 2-Alarm Fire Prompts Arson Investigation

Bakersfield, Kern County, CA: Around 10:17 p.m. Friday, June 10, Bakersfield Fire Department started receiving reports of a fire at the Fountain Plaza Building on the 2000 block of 18th Street in the city of Bakersfield.

Bakersfield FD responded and quickly upgraded the fire to a 2-alarm fire. The fire was mainly contained to the southeast corner of the plaza.

Bakersfield Fire Department Arson unit is investigating.
