Pedestrian Killed in End of Pursuit Traffic Collision

Florence-Firestone, Los Angeles, CA: A vehicle pursuit ended in a traffic collision around 12:15 a.m. Thursday, June 16, that took the life of a pedestrian on the 7100 block of Central Avenue in the Florence-Firestone unincorporated area of South Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department was in pursuit of a stolen vehicle when the suspect crashed and overturned, impacting other vehicles at the location and leaving one pedestrian deceased at the scene.

The pedestrian was not immediately identified. LAPD is investigating the incident.
