Deputies on Patrol in Carson Respond to Double Shooting, at Least 1 Suspect Detained

Carson, Los Angeles County, CA: Just around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 2, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies from the Carson Station were patrolling the area of Stevenson Park on the 17700 block of Lysander Drive in the city of Carson when gunfire was occurring.

Deputies arrived at the scene and found two victims down suffering from gunshot wounds. Suspect(s) were detained at gunpoint by deputies and additional units were requested to the location.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived to help treat and transport the two wounded victims. The patients were transported in unknown condition by McCormick Ambulance with LACoFD to a nearby hospital.

The circumstance surrounding the shooting is unclear at this time. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is handling the investigation.
