Lancaster, Los Angeles County, CA: At approximately 11:44 p.m. Monday, July 4, firefighters from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the 45500 block Newtree Avenue in the city of Lancaster for a reported structure fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered flames and smoke showing from the attic. Numerous engines from various stations responded to quickly extinguish the flames. The fire was knocked down shortly after 12 a.m. Tuesday, July 5.
All residents were evacuated with no injuries reported. Edison responded to the scene at 12:15 a.m. to assess the damage. It is unknown at this time what caused the fire.
