Driver, Passenger Rescued After High-Speed Violent Crash into Parked Cars

East Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA: A vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed collided with three parked cars trapping the driver and passenger early Thursday morning, July 14, 2022.

The crash was reported at 12:32 a.m. on the 1300 block of North Virgil Avenue in the East Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and removed the driver and passenger who were briefly trapped in their silver sedan. Three parked vehicles were severely damaged in the collision. Residents stated off camera that the area is known for vehicles traveling quickly southbound on Virgil and have petitioned for stop signs. There is currently no stop sign at the northern intersection.

Los Angeles Police Department West Traffic Division is handling the investigation. The female and male were transported by ambulance in stable condition to a local area hospital.
