Palmdale, Los Angeles County, CA: At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call for an altercation between neighbors in the city of Palmdale.

One neighbor left then returned and pointed a gun with a laser to the informant’s face. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene with lights and sirens. The suspect fired numerous shots with a long rifle then proceeded to jump from a balcony into the pool area of the apartment complex.
A large containment area was set up and units from Lancaster and Santa Clarita were requested to respond and assist. At around 12:20 a.m. Thursday, July 21, a female was observed taken into custody. However, circumstances as to why she was placed in handcuffs are unknown at this time. As of 12:31 a.m., a huge manhunt was underway to locate the shooter.
