Semi Truck Fire Closes 5-14 Freeway Interchange

Newhall Pass, Los Angeles County, CA: Los Angeles City Fire Department along with California Highway Patrol responded to a reported auto fire on the truck route of the 5-14 North interchange in the Newhall Pass on Thursday, July 28, at around 12:10 a.m.

When units arrived to the location, they found a fully-involved semi truck rig with a family sitting on the side of the road.

No injuries were reported and traffic began to flow after CHP set up road flares.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
