
Lancaster, CA: A toddler who was run over when a parent was backing out a minivan at a residence in Lancaster on Friday afternoon, succumbed to her injuries. Lt. Skaggs confirmed the death late afternoon on Friday.
The 3-year-old girl was in a driveway of a single family residence as one of the parents was backing the family’s minivan out when the toddler was run over around 1:10 p.m. The incident occurred on the 500 block of East Norberry Street.
The 911 caller was frantic and reported the child was in and out of consciousness. Lt. Skaggs (Watch Commander) of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lancaster station stated, “The child in this accident was transported to a local area hospital and her condition is unknown at this time.”
LASD deputies, Los Angeles Fire Department and AMR ambulance blocked all intersections from the family residence to the hospital.
LA County Sheriffs watch commander is confirming that the child has succumbed to their injuries.
