Santa Clarita, Los Angeles, CA: Three people were killed and two injured in a traffic collision late Sunday afternoon, Aug. 28, in the city of Santa Clarita.

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 4:10 p.m. in the 29800 block of San Francisquito Canyon Road. Los Angeles County Fire Department also responded to extinguish a vehicle fire that erupted as a result of the crash.
Key News Network video from the scene shows two wrecked vehicles. It was unclear if additional vehicles were involved in the collision.
There is no further information at this time regarding the condition of the two injured or the ages and genders of the deceased victims.
