Broadway-Manchester, Los Angeles, CA: A male was shot and killed Wednesday, Sept. 7, at approximately 9:07 p.m. on the 9600 block of South Main Street in the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood of South Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Police Department Southeast Division officers responded and established a crime scene shutting down Main Street both north and southbound for an unknown duration.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced the victim deceased in the front lawn of a home at the location.
There was one assailant that approached the victim and began to shoot, said Lt. Byron Roberts, officer in charge of the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Bureau Homicide Division, interviewed at the scene by Key News Network. He added that there were no witnesses and is asking anyone with any information regarding this incident to contact South Bureau Homicide at (323) 786- 5100, or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
According to Roberts, the victim is a male Black who lives in the immediate area. It is unknown if he has any activities or any association with gangs.
The investigation is preliminary and ongoing.
