Capital Hill, Seattle, WA: The Seattle Police Department was in a standoff with suspects allegedly involved in stabbing a man on Thursday, Sept. 8, around 10:45 p.m. in Seattle’s Capital Hill neighborhood.

SPD officers responded to the 1700 bock of Bellevue Avenue for reports of a stabbing. Arriving officers found a 42-year-old man with multiple stab wounds and began first aid, according to Detective Valerie Carson with SPD. Seattle Fire Department medics responded and took over treatment of the victim, eventually transporting him to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
According to witnesses, the victim was in a physical fight with a man and a woman, and the male suspect stabbed him, reported Carson. The suspects reportedly fled the scene into a nearby apartment and refused to come out.
A standoff ensued at a building behind the initial location of the stabbing, with officers believing the suspects were holed up in one of two units. SPD applied and was granted a warrant for two of the units while SWAT was called to the scene.
After an hours long standoff, SWAT breached the door of the units and searched for the male suspect who was not found, however, a woman was taken into custody at the location.
SPD did not locate the male suspect, but confirmed a 36-year-old woman was booked into the King County Jail for assault after she and an associate assaulted and stabbed a man.
As of Monday night, the male suspect is reported to be still outstanding.
