Burglary Suspect Located in Attic of Liquor Store

Chino, San Bernardino County, CA: A burglary suspect was located in the attic of a liquor store and eventually taken into custody by police early Friday morning, Oct. 7, 2022.

Chino Police Department received a burglar alarm around 12:50 a.m. from Village Liquor Store on the 4100 block of Riverside Drive in the city of Chino.

Once officers arrived on scene, they heard a banging sound coming from inside the liquor store. Chino officers made entry and determined the sound was coming from the attic above the store. Officers located a suspect hiding in the attic who had allegedly broken into the liquor store.

Chino officers took the suspect into custody after about an hour.

Chino Valley Fire Department transported the suspect to Chino Valley Hospital for unknown injuries.

The liquor store was closed at the time of the burglary. It was unknown at the time of the incident how the suspect was able to gain entry into the attic.
