Vehicle Crash into Palmdale Home Ignites Fire

Palmdale, Los Angeles County, CA: A vehicle ignited a fire when it crashed into the garage portion of a home in the city of Palmdale early Saturday morning, Feb. 26, 2022.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a call regarding a vehicle collision into a house at approximately 3:00 a.m. on the 37700 block of North 57th Street East.

Upon arrival, firefighters reported a structure fire that started from a traffic collision. Firefighters from multiple stations responded to the fire and extinguished the flames by 3:18 a.m.

LACoFD Engine 39 stayed on the scene until the arrival of tow trucks to remove the damaged vehicles.

Key News Network video of the incident shows structure damage on outside walls around the garage as well as an interior garage wall along with a damaged vehicle contained inside the garage.

It is not known at this time if there were any injuries or what caused the collision.
