Norwalk, Los Angeles County, CA: The Los Angeles County Fire Department along with Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Norwalk Station deputies responded to a commercial building fire at a strip mall around 1:52 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, on the 11800 block of East Rosecrans Avenue in the city of Norwalk.

Once firefighters arrived on scene, they located three commercial buildings with heavy smoke and fire showing from the roof.

Firefighters battled the blaze in defensive mode and were fighting the fire from the street.

LACoFD upgraded the fire to second alarm status as they requested additional resources to assist firefighters at the scene.

The fire had spread to three, possibly four businesses in the strip mall.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and under investigation.
