Pedestrian Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Whittier

Whittier, Los Angeles County, CA: A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene early Sunday morning, Oct. 23, in the city of Whittier.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Pico Station responded to a traffic collision on South Broadway and Mines Boulevard around 1:43 a.m.

A pedestrian was walking across the street on Mines Boulevard when struck by a vehicle that took off from the scene in an unknown direction.

Fire crews arrived and reported one male patient lying on the ground. The patient was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation in unknown condition.
