North Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA: An Arcadia Police Department pursuit of a suspect vehicle involved multiple damaged vehicles, along with an alleged attempted carjacking before ending in the North Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles within the San Fernando Valley on Friday, Dec. 9.

Arcadia PD requested back up from the Los Angeles Police Department around 4:30 p.m. after the suspect fled on foot from the vehicle.

The suspect allegedly attempted to steal a vehicle after entering a residence. Fortunately, the suspect obtained the incorrect key to the vehicle, according to a resident at the scene. Then the suspect allegedly attempted to carjack a vehicle from a senior citizen.

Multiple vehicles were rammed and damaged by the suspect toward the end of the pursuit.

The suspect was apprehended at the back of an abandoned house on the 6600 block of Morella Avenue with multiple police officers at the scene.

An Arcadia K-9 unit was also present.

Key News Network spoke on camera with the resident who was targeted by the suspect in a carjacking attempt and with a victim involved in a traffic collision from the pursuit. They both spoke briefly about their encounter with the suspect.

The reason for the pursuit is currently unknown.
