Surf peaks of 12-22 feet are predicted for the Central Coast and Ventura County with pier damage and beach road/parking lot flooding possible, as stated on the NSW website. Los Angeles and south Santa Barbara County surf peaks are predicted to be 8-12 feet.

The NWS also warns of “possible breaking waves at Morro Bay and Ventura Harbor entrances. Mariners should remain in port, seek safe harbor and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and combined seas.”

The NWS had a warning for beach goers – “stay back from the water’s edge, and stay off the rocks!”

High surf peaks were already observed and captured on video by Key News Network around 1:00 a.m. Friday on the Ventura Pier and Promenade in the city of Ventura.
