Encino, Los Angeles, CA: Another winter rainstorm is predicted to drench the Southland this week increasing the chance of falling trees rooted in already rain-soaked ground from the previous round of storms last week.
Around 2:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, the Los Angeles Police Department mentioned a traffic hazard in the area of the 16400 block of Royal Hills Drive in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Encino where a large tree fell.
The tree landed across all lanes, completely blocking the roadway.
It was unknown at the time of this report when the tree would be cleared away.
