Long Beach, CA: With just a few days to barely dry out from the last deluge of winter rainstorms last week, the Southland is once again being drenched along with the potential of more landslides, flowing mud and flooding.

Storm drains were quickly overwhelmed and plugged with the amount of rainfall that flooded Long Beach peninsula once again on Saturday, Jan. 14.
All eastbound lanes of Ocean Boulevard are closed at 63rd Place due to severe flooding in the area, impacting homes along the roadway.
Residents were seen trying to build barricades and others were wading through multiple inches of water. Sand bags lined the bottom of many residential garages and front doors attempting to keep out the rising water seen in Key News Network video from the area around 2:00 p.m.
Long Beach Lifeguards were observed actively attempting to help clear storm drains alongside public works.
Steady rain is continuing to fall. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for most areas, along with wind and high surf advisories, and a flood watch for some coastal areas as well as for mountains and foothills.
