Suspicious Powder in Envelope Prompts Hazmat Response

North Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA: Around 9:00 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, Los Angeles Police officers and the Los Angeles Fire Department with help from the Los Angeles County Public Health Department, responded to reports of a suspicious powder in an envelope at a location in the area of Lankershim Boulevard and Runnymede Street in the North Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles.

LAFD personnel and Hazardous Materials Squad 87 investigated and determined the envelope only contained paper material.
