Vice President Kamala Harris Visits Location of Mass Shooting in Monterey Park

Monterey Park, Los Angeles County, CA: Vice President Kamala Harris arrived at the location of the mass shooting in Monterey Park to lay flowers at the growing memorial and to meet with families of the 11 victims killed and 10 injured at a dance studio Saturday, Jan. 11.

Harris, along with Secret Service agents, a motorcade and an airship circling overhead, exited a vehicle Wednesday evening around 5 p.m. and along with a large bouquet of yellow flowers, slowly walked past and stopped briefly at each of the victim’s photos that were prominently displayed outside the dance studio where everyone inside that fateful night was enjoying dancing and celebrating the Lunar New Year.

Harris then laid the flowers on top of the many that were already in front of the building.

There was no formal statement from Harris at the location.
