Box Truck Burns in Car Wash Stall

Canyon Country, Los Angeles County, CA: A vehicle fire scorched a car wash around 4:01 a.m. Wednesday, Mar. 9, on the 20600 block of Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country.

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel arrived at the location and found a burning box truck in one of the car wash stalls.

The driver, who was possibly living in the vehicle, was transported to a local hospital in stable condition suffering from possible smoke inhalation. Crews were able to achieve a knockdown of the main fire and subsequent gas fire after approximately twenty minutes.

LA County Sheriff’s deputies blocked Westbound traffic on Soledad Canyon while crews worked. The cause of the fire is unknown.
