Single-Vehicle Crash into Pole Leaves Driver Hospitalized

Van Nuys, Los Angeles, CA: A driver sustained major injuries after crashing into a pole in the Van Nuys neighborhood within the San Fernando Valley early Sunday morning, Feb. 12.

The Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic units responded to a 2:22 a.m. call for a solo vehicle into a pole on Saticoy Street at Zombar Avenue.

A witness stated off-camera that a black sedan blew through the intersection of Sepulveda Boulevard and Saticoy Street at a high rate of speed before losing control and colliding into a power pole.

The solo occupant of the black sedan was transported to the hospital with major injuries.

Another vehicle was observed at the scene with damage but its involvement in the collision was not immediately clear.

The crash is under investigation.
