Canoga Park, Los Angeles, CA: Firefighters extinguished an attic fire in a home Tuesday afternoon in the 22100 block of West Archwood Street in the Canoga Park neighborhood within the San Fernando Valley.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the location for a reported structure fire just before 1:30 p.m., Feb. 14, where a one-story, single family home had smoke showing from the attic.
LAFD reported the fire was extinguished in 25 minutes by 30 firefighters on the scene.
“Initial reports indicate the fire possibly started in some equipment outside and extended into the attic,” said LAFD.
The interior of the home was protected by firefighters from as much damage as possible, while the attic fire was extinguished, according to LAFD.
