Flames Engulf Multiple Vehicles, Automotive Body Shop in Palms

Palms, Los Angeles, CA: Firefighters battled a blaze involving vehicles and an automotive body shop late Thursday night in the Palms community within the Westside region of Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Fire Department defensively fought the flames along with Culver City Fire Department on the 9300 block of West Venice Boulevard just after 10:00 p.m. Feb.16.

Multiple vehicles were consumed by fire along with an adjacent 5,019 square foot one-story automotive body shop that was well involved in flames upon arrival, according to LAFD.

An adjacent building sustained minor damage from the fire, reported LAFD. The fire was extinguished in 71 minutes in a well-coordinated defensive firefight.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
