DUI, Speeding Suspected in Vehicle Rollover Crash into Structure

Downey, Los Angeles County, CA: A suspected DUI driver slammed into a business in a building at an intersection in city of Downey just after midnight, Sunday, Feb. 19.

Downey Police Department and Fire received a call of a vehicle crash into a structure approximately 12:18 a.m. at Old River School Road and Firestone Boulevard.

Upon arrival, officers said the suspect was able to exit the vehicle with no injuries.

The vehicle was located on its side inside the structure with crash and building debris scattered on the ground.

DPD officers started to administer a Field Sobriety Test on the driver, then later placed the suspect into custody.

The building was unoccupied at the time of collision.

DUI and speeding are currently suspected causes of the crash, according to authorities at this time.
