North Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA: Firefighters battled a structure fire in the rain early Friday morning, Feb. 24, in the North Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles within the San Fernando Valley.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to a burning one-story vacant commercial building on the 6600 block of North Lankershim Boulevard just before 12:30 a.m.
The blaze was fought mostly in defensive mode and knockdown was achieved in 24 minutes with 34 firefighters on the scene, according to LAFD.
Firefighters protected nearby structures, without injury, reported LAFD.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
