Violent Crash on 10 Freeway Leaves 1 Hospitalized

Ontario, San Bernardino County, CA: One person was hospitalized after a violent crash involving fire on the 10 Freeway early Saturday morning in the area of the city of Ontario.

California Highway Patrol and Ontario Fire Department responded to a traffic collision with fire and one trapped on the westbound 10 Freeway at Millikan Avenue just after 3:00 a.m., Mar. 18.

Once officers and firefighters arrived on scene, they located a Dodge vehicle overturned with parts of a vehicle on fire and one person trapped.

Firefighters extricated the person from the totaled vehicle. The patient was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

It is not currently known if speed or alcohol was a factor in the crash.

CHP opened up two lanes of the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway.
