Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Wounded in Van Nuys

Van Nuys, Los Angeles, CA: Two people were shot, one fatally, at a residence overnight in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles within the San Fernando Valley.

The shooting was reported around 2:00 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 1, at the back house of a home on the 15000 block of Gilmore Street.

Arriving Los Angeles Fire Department personnel and police officers found one gunshot victim not breathing. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

The second victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

There is currently no suspect description.

LAPD is investigating the fatal shooting incident.
