Vehicle Pursuit Ends With Crash Into The Americana in Glendale

Glendale, Los Angeles County, CA: A suspect vehicle in a police pursuit crashed into The Americana at Brand ending the chase early Saturday morning. The suspect proceeded to barricade inside the disabled vehicle, then fled on foot before being captured by Glendale Police Department officers.

Glendale police officers were in pursuit of an unknown want vehicle around 3:00 a.m., Apr. 1, that led them to The Americana at Brand on the 800 block of Americana Way in the city of Glendale.

The pursuit lasted less than 10 minutes before the suspect vehicle crashed into a building of The Americana, ending the chase.

The suspect then proceeded to barricade inside the crashed vehicle for about 30 minutes before running out and leading police on a foot pursuit.

The suspect was tased by police and transported to a local hospital.

One building sustained major damage with the vehicle fully trapped inside.

Glendale PD is handling the investigation.
